Subscriptions, withdrawal and refunds
What you are paying for, when your subscription starts, when you may still withdraw, and when the amount is not refunded.
Your right to withdraw
A subscription to a digital service normally carries a withdrawal period of fourteen days from the purchase, during which you may change your mind without giving a reason. Where the law of your country of residence gives you a longer period, that longer period applies instead.
Starting immediately, and what it costs you
Access is only worth buying if it opens at once, so before payment you are asked to request exactly that. The request is a separate choice, shown on its own, never ticked in advance and never folded into accepting the terms of use. It has one consequence, stated on the same line: your subscription starts immediately and your right to withdraw ends.
I ask for my subscription to start immediately. I understand that once it has started I lose my right to withdraw, and that the amount paid is not refunded.
No refund of a subscription that has started
Once you have made that request and access has been opened, the subscription is performed. The amount paid is not refunded, in whole or in part: not if you stop using the service, not if you turn off renewal, and not if an analysis you read did not turn out the way you hoped. A result you did not like is not a defect.
If you do not ask for an immediate start
Your subscription is not opened straight away. It starts when the withdrawal period ends, and until then you may withdraw and be refunded in full. The choice is yours; you simply cannot have both the immediate access and the time to change your mind.
What is always corrected
This policy never covers an amount taken without a matching order, an amount taken twice for the same order, or access that was paid for and never opened. Those are errors and they are put right. Nor does it remove a protection that the law applicable to you does not allow to be removed.
Stopping a renewal
Stopping a renewal is not a refund. It ends future charges; the period already paid for runs to its end and remains payable.
How your choice is kept
Your request is recorded with the exact wording you were shown, the language it was shown in, the version of this policy, and the date and time taken from our database clock. It is attached to the order it belongs to and appears in the copy of your data you can download.
Asking us about a payment
Write to the contact published in the legal notice, giving the date and the amount. Never send card details.
